I have been on a mission to help my daughter for about 4 years now. I have found a function medicine doctor we have been with for about a year and a half now. She has been very good and has improved my daughters health a lot. One of the biggest concerns we went to her with was horrible periods, hot flashes, and acid reflux. The dr said to get her off meats, nut, fats, and oils. My daughter noticed a quick improvement from that. The dr. said it has something to do with her liver- as well as a few other things as well. She has let her eat salmon and avocado the whole time. In the past 6 months she let her add in olive oil. Recently my daughter ate broccoli with avocado oil and pretty immediately was cramping and needed to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, that being said I feel like this dr. is in total support of her not eating meat or eggs for the rest of her life. I know you can’t make judgments from the little information I have given you, but I do have concern and feel meat is important for her to be eating- at least at some point once she’s healed enough. Is this a reasonable expectation and desire for her to be able to do?
