Hi – just like any symptom, finding and addressing the root cause is key.
With chronic vertigo, I’ve seen a connection with mold toxicity and/or histamine issues (from mold, heavy metals, dysbiosis, etc).
Does mold illness resonate with you? I will be filming a course on mold but in the meantime, here is a symptom form created by my teacher Dr. Jill Crista to help determine the possibility of mold being at play from a subjective, not diagnostic point of view. If her symptom collection points to a high probability of mold illness, then additional testing like a MycoTox test can be considered.
With regards to histamine, Dr. Ben Lynch will be our guest expert in December and the focus will be on histamine. Histamine overload can lead to dizziness and vertigo. If histamine is at play, she’d probably experience relief by trying one of Seeking Health’s histamine intolerance products. And if it does bring her relief, then continuing to work on gut health, dysbiosis and methylation support (B6 is a key player in the breakdown of histamine) while adopting a low histamine diet (i.e. avoid leftovers, fermented foods & histamine-producing probiotics for example) temporarily would be the focus to address the “root cause”.
In terms of rapid relief, I know you mentioned it’s not due to crystals, but has she tried the Epley maneuver to see if that helps?
Another therapy which I know about but don’t have experience with is called neurological insole technology. Colleagues of mine who have patients with vertigo have said it works amazingly well. Might be worth investigating this technology further.
Hope this helps!
