    Breakfast

    Quinoa Porridge
5tablespoon of quinoa grains soaked overnight using bottled mineral water. In the morning, I rinse the grains using tap water and then in a pain soften the grains using fresh bottled mineral water. I also add either rocket leaves or corriander leaves and grated ginger. Afterwards, I add rude health organic coconut milk and further cook the quinoa. Once cooked, I add 1/2 teaspoon of PHGG and 1/3 teaspoon ghee and blend. The porridge ends up like a creamy texture.

I have the same in the evening. It very soothing on the stomach but wondering whether having daily and twice a daily could be causing the bloating. Either due to gastroparesis or fermentation.

    Lunch
Soup which can be made from:

Courgettes, white potatato, carrots and pak choi , boiled in water and blended. Himalayan Pink salt and tumeric is used.

Celeriac root, sweet potato, pak choi, boiled in water and blended. Himalayan Pink salt and tumeric is used

I have the soup with steamed fish which can be hake or cod.

I really need advise on my diet as it’s restrictive due to food fear and secondly due to gastroperisis struggling to have solid food such as chicken even though it’s boiled.

Hello  – have you seen the “Food” pillar in the Beginner’s Health Roadmap? If you don’t have the time, I encourage you to start here with my VPF+C principle. This will help give you a framework to work with in terms of making balanced macro-nutrient meals.

Given the sensitivity of your gut and gastroparesis, I would not recommend consuming so many grains. In fact, removing grains altogether would probably give you some much needed relief.

For your proteins, given the H Pylori overgrowth and likelihood of hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid), it’s normal to feel unable to digest animal proteins. Instead, consider choosing lighter proteins like fish, seafood, bivalves (clams, oysters, mussels, scallops), and eggs (chicken, quail if available). Vegetarian proteins like organic tofu can also work. Rotate these within the VPF+C principle.

Whatever you make – try to puree them to remove the strain on the digestive system. Please feel free to use and upload your 3-day food journal once you begin to adopt this type of diet and we’ll be happy to provide more feedback.

    Hi B.,

Following your post, I watched the VPF+C video.

I noticed if one has candida which I do, starchy carbohydrates should be avoided as my diet is predominantly this category for soups.

Today, I purchased mushrooms after a long time. I stopped eating mushrooms due to Histamine.

I forgot to mention, for smoothies I have on occasions 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, 1 scoop L Glutamine, 1 teaspoon Bare Biology Omega 3 oil. I’ve tried adding a small number of blue berries, but my stomach lining is irritated. Should I stop the smoothie as both are high histamine items. The smoothie is blended in coconut milk.

In my quinoa porridge, I have one semi boiled egg. Should I stop due to the sensitive nature of the stomach. I notice when I have the egg with the porridge, I’m ok. I haven’t tried it on it’s own.

Is Jasmine rice also a grain?

I’ve tried having vegetables and fish in the morning, but I find it difficult to digest these food items. Any other suggestions?

eliminating grains (including oats and rice) temporarily will likely bring you relief. Replace those starches with root vegetables (see handout for list) – 1 cup per day given the strong dysbiosis and overgrowths. Focus on VPF first and foremost, choosing the lighter proteins for lunch and dinner (puree them) and supplementing breakfast with a smoothie/shake since you find it difficult to consume food.

I’ve recommended the Apex Energetics ClearVite-CHC (chocolate flavored) to clients who need amino acid support. Unfortunately, collagen is not a complete protein.

If you can tolerate eggs, it’s an excellent protein source. The less cooked the better, so soft boil is better than hardboiled. Rotate your protein sources.

Cook & steam your vegetables to help with the gut healing phase (fiber is quite harsh on the gut lining). As you get better, you can start to include more raw foods.

Apex Energeticx ClearVite-CHC. Is this the link?

ClearVite CHC (K111) Chocolate – Apex Energetics | Amrita Nutrition

Is this hemp protein any good as an alternative to the Apex –
Hemp Protein Powder | Natural & Unflavoured | Pulsin

Any advise on what type of smoothieshake to go for? Unti now, it’s been 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, and a small handful of blueberries. I think with the yeast overgrowth, I should stop the banana? Avocado pushes up the histamine and blueberries irritates the stomach lining.

Before I forget and just to be clear. Should I stop the celeriac root and sweet potato for the candida?

Oats test picked up high oxalates
Do I stop high oxalstes vegetables as well. This is the worry I have. How many foods do I stop.

Yes, that’s the ClearVite I was referring to.

Hemp protein is also another option if you’d like to alternate.

For smoothies, I also like to follow my VPF principle. So perhaps frozen cauliflower, cucumber, lettuce (for the veggies), 1/2 an apple for sweetness, flaxseeds for healthy fats, and your protein powder of choice (or eat a protein with it on the side). The liquid can be bone broth for additional gut healing power or coconut kefir for some probiotic action (if it doesn’t bother you).

Lost of options and variations when following the VPF principle.

As for oxalates, you’ll go mad and feel very restricted if you add this to your list of restrictions as well. Oxalates are high because of the yeast overgrowth. Stop feeding the yeast (eliminate sugar/flour), heal your gut, and strengthen your immune system; this strategy will help reduce endogenous oxalate production.
