     from what I know, leaching can happen when a liquid is more acidic. And according to the FDA 2022 Food code, it should not be used with food/liquids below pH of 6 like vinegar, fruit juice, alcohol as it can leach copper.

    Water pH can range anywhere between 6.5 to 8.
