• Congested Nose & Fever

    Hi B & Daniel,

Do you have any suggestions on dealing with a congested nose that refuses to unblock? Tried saline nasal sprays, inhaling steam, drinking warm liquids and teas, and boiled eggs. It’s impacting my ability to sleep and recover from COVID.

I caved in and used benadryl and provided temporary relief but only for 2 hours.

Taking vitamin D & A based on B’s flu protocol. Lots of fluids, soup, electrolytes, vitamin C, herbal teas (Throat Coat by Traditional Medicinal) and fruits.

Fever is pretty persistent too (101.5 F) for the past two days. Tried to push through it but caved in and took tylenol so I could sleep but it only reduced it for a few hours and it’s back up again.

    Thanks

@Misha how are you feeling today? For sinus congestion, xylitol spray such as Xlear can be effective, as well as using a Neti pot to clear the nasal passages. Elevating your head by sleeping with an extra pillow can also help alleviate nasal congestion at night. A humidifier could be helpful as well.

You may also want to take a look at the “magic socks” protocol HERE for fevers.

With that said, if you are pregnant and with a persistent fever, please seek medical attention.

Wishing you a swift and effective recovery.

@Bernadette Abraham Fever broke after the third day thankfully! I was hesitant to do the magic socks technique because my feet get chilblains easily in the winter if I don’t keep socks on.
