  S.Boulardi for kids

  Hey B

   

  My child just finished a course of antibiotics, and I would like to give him S Boulardi and wondering if I can open a capsule and mix it in water? I have the biotic research brand and 1 capsule has 235g. Can I give him proflora as well?

  @Lana Zambarakji 250-500mg of S Boulardii is what’s generally recommended for kids, so no issues opening up a capsule and mixing it into soft food/cool liquid if you have that on hand already.

  What brand is proflora?

  Great! I tried to get the S Boulardii brand from the states but the kids hated the taste. I will open up the capsule I have.

  The brand is proflora and the manufacturer is from denmark Deerland. Although I do have the probiotics I take which I got from your fullscript account, Megaspore and Lactozyme – can i use either for the kids? Again I would have to open them up.
