@Yasmin atassi did they mention what type of contrast will be used?

If it’s a type of gadolinium based contrast agent like Dotarem for example, there is the risk of deposition in the body. The reasons for using this contrast really need to warrant the possible risks: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28362042/

It is excreted through the kidneys so drinking a heavy intake of water (can add lemon as well) to flush it out is a good strategy. There isn’t much research on effective ways to chelate gadolinium, however it has been suggested to follow other heavy metal chelation protocols to help the body rid itself of this toxin. We’ll be releasing the Heavy Metal Cleanse program by the end of next week hopefully.

Heavy metals are usually processed by the liver using glutathione conjugation (as is the case for mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), and some other heavy metals). We need to be able to methylate well to make glutathione. And we need available amino acids and extra B6 for the phase 2 liver detox.

Therefore supporting liver detox and supporting chelation as much as possible post-procedure might help. High intake of raw cilantro 2-3x/day (consider juicing) as well as a B-complex and ideally modified citrus pectin for the next 3-4 weeks (ex. EcoNugenics PectaClear 6 capsules before bed on an empty stomach with nothing else at all but water). No alcohol, caffeine/tea or smoking. Really support the liver, and keep the kidneys happy.

    Hope that helps.

@Bernadette Abraham thank you very much. I asked them today and unfortunately yes they said that this is the contrast and that I need to take it otherwise no point in MRI ( breast )

I will try to get pectaclear if it can come here on time before my appointment:does it have any side effects of detox that i should be aware of ?

As for other support am already on this protocol , I think this should be covering the ones you mentioned no?

@Yasmin atassi correct, the MedCaps DPO and MethylProtect offer B vitamins, but note that taking them together will give a large amount of B6 combined which might be counterproductive. Speak with your practitioner about the correct dose to be taking.

MedCaps DPO offers nutrients that support both Phase 1 & 2 detox, whereas Methyl Protect offers only B vitamins specific for methylation in a form that is useable by the body. So for your purpose, MedCaps together with a binder like PectaClear could be sufficient in combination with the other suggestions I shared in my previous reply.

@Bernadette Abraham thanks for your feedback . The current protocol I am on was given to me by Dr heather Eade whom I see . I will ask her about too much B6 on my next visit with her

With regards to the pectaclear you mention evening on empty stomach , I usually have a late dinner at 8 and sleep at 10 is that sufficient ? How many hours otherwise I should have no food? But healthy I know but my current schedule allow me to only eat by 8

@Yasmin atassi yes, best to check with her. It might be an appropriate dose for your unique needs, but better to double check.

Waiting 2 hours after a meal is good. 3 hours is even better whenever you can.
