Hi everyone. Our son 20 years old has severe morning nausea since 3 years and we are hoping to have an answer and find a relief for him. His life has been on joke since then.
We did many functional tastings including GI map, Genova, full blood and parasitology test, H pylori couple of times and was negative.

His calprotectin showed a bit over the level, so Dr after seeing his labs all clear suggested to be parasite. Ultrasound showed some gas in his lower abdomen. He got 10 days Metrolag. After two months calprotectin went down almost normal /high side.

Then Dr ordered SIBO. Fructose and lactose intolerance breath tests, and he had a bit of fructose intolerance but high in lactose intolerance.

Finally gastroscopy was done as we suspected silent reflux because once we tried giving him D lemon ‘em and he said next day first time he doesn’t wake up with nausea and lasted only 3 days and all back to before.
Gastroscopy showed no reflux and no bike issue but some inflammation on top on his stomach.

Could be from lactose we don’t know but he’s not committed to specific healthy diet.

We did Gut Zoomer test before the gastroscopy and it pointed on gallbladder also had his MMP9 was high, should be_<0.2 and he has it 0.4

We are heartbroken especially when he says it’s extreme that he wish to die.

KK – I’m so sorry your son has had to live with such extreme nausea for so long. My initial thought was congested liver/gallbladder and to try d-limonene, and sure enough, you said that it was the first time he didn’t wake up with nausea. May I ask how long he took the d-limonene for and why he stopped?

he had it for two weeks maybe. Also once we gave him during his nausea episode to drink bentonite clay and it immediately stopped the nausea.
Usually nausea starts once he wakes up even before moving from bed. That’s why we ruled out H pylori and then we were trying to think what could be when he wakes up and reflux came to mind. As long as he’s not laying down things are ok. But gastroscopy didn’t show reflux issue or maybe minimal.

When all of this started we tried to see the trigger because some mornings are worse than others so whenever he comes late the next day is disaster. For sure energy drinks were worsening his symptoms because even coffee makes him feel bad when he drinks it and once he tried pre-workout and he was a mess same minute with nausea and anxiety etc.. so he stoked all of these and still.
Then we thought could be adrenals because of sleeping late (which didn’t make much sense but we are desperate) but we finally realized that laying down is the trigger so the second he wakes up nausea starts and lasts around an hour intense then he can’t eat until 5-6 PM. So we thought it’s reflux because position matters. Gastroscopy didn’t show big reflux issue.

So after he wakes up means positioning of the body matters so we are trying to figure out what could happen in this case that it’s triggering the nausea when waking up.

Please if you have any insight let us know. He lost his confidence because he’s underweight and cannot he’ll it with such bad nausea and we are keeping so far pharmaceuticals out of the plan.

I would love to analyze his case in more detail for you and discuss it on our first case study call which is scheduled on September 8 from 7-8pm UAE time. It’s a live call for all members to learn from as well. You can keep your camera off if you prefer and we can remove all identifying information from his documents & labwork being shared. Would that work for you?

You mentioned that his symptom started 3 years ago. Can you pin point what happened at that time? What changed in his life?

I’d love to dive into his labs, especially liver function, and take a look at it from a functional perspective. The question in my mind (and what I’d like to investigate further for you) is “what is causing the biliary tract congestion?”. You’ve done a lot of functional tests that I’d love to look at.

2 weeks is definitely not long enough for D-limonene with extreme nausea. I’ve recommended 30 days up to 90 days for some clients. In more extreme cases, additional phosphatidylcholine, artichoke and other gallbladder support were needed as well.

In the meantime, please watch the Gut Health Masterclass and really focus on the liver/gallbladder sections, along with the suggested therapies in the later modules of the course. I feel you may find many answers in there.

My heart goes out to you and your son. Let’s get him feeling better soon!!!

this is just amazing B, we are great full that you’ll take his case. Where and when to send his documents? We are currently visiting family and will be back end of July and some tests results are home. Just let me know when and where to send them to you.

Why we stopped after two weeks because when we gave him first he got relief and then it stoped working. Usually when you give supplement you wait until it works and here the opposite happens. It worked then after two days it stopped.

    Can’t wait until September 8th

Hi B. We did the 3 days food dairy but it won’t let us submit. We keep pressing save and submit and it will go through the 3 pages and then takes us to the first page again. Scared to close it and lose whatever was done. Even tried to message you there but no button to click to send the message

I’m not sure why that’s happening. I’ll have to reach out to their customer support. In the meantime, I just sent you another 3-day food journal to fill in. Please try to copy/paste your answers from the previous form so you don’t have to type them all in again. A 2nd option is to download the 3-day food journal in Discounts & Resources>Tools & Guidelines in your library and email it to support@BernadetteAbraham.com. Hope ones of these options work for you in the meantime.
