Hello – welcome to B Better! Yes, those are the supplements I shared in my post on UTIs.
I cannot tell you what dosage to take specifically since we aren’t working on a 1-1 basis, however I can share my own protocol and general guidelines for prevention and acute situations:
Here’s the protocol I used to stop a brewing UTI infection in 3 days, and luckily not need antibiotics (your needs may be different and dosage should be discussed with your practitioner):
1. Uva ursi (leaf): 4 capsules (~2g), 3 x per day with LOTS of water. Very important for flushing out the bacteria!
2. D-mannose with cranberry: 2 capsules (~1g), 2 x dailyOn day 2, I was still feeling the twinge, so I added in 1 tsp of Biotics Research IAG powder (arabinogalactans), 3 x per day, to help my immune system fight off the brewing infection.
Day 3: UTI gone!
Of course dosing needs to be discussed with your practitioner but generally speaking:
• 1-2g daily of D-mannose has been shown in literature to help with prevention (if someone is prone to UTIs) and 1-2g, 2 x daily to help counter an existing infection.
• Similarly, 1-2g per day of uva ursi and should not be taken longer than 7 days⚠️ NOTE: While d-mannose is quite safe for everyone, uva ursi is not recommended for children or those with liver disease.

yes, it’s the correct one. The one I bought must be a new branding, but the dosage per capsule and formula is the same.
IAG is something I keep in my medicine cabinet (actually in my fridge) for immune support, so I always have it on hand. It’s not essential for the protocol, but it’s always my go-to for times when my kids get sick or extra immune support is needed…

Hi – can you share what you’re currently taking please and severity of your symptoms. If it’s a full blown infection, please seek medical attention for that. This protocol is better suited when it’s the start of a brewing infection, but if it’s severe, sometimes antibiotics are needed.

Hello, for 3 days i took
D-mannose 2 capsules, 2 x daily
Uva Ursi 4 capsules, 3 x daily
My only symptom is not being able to hold my pee, nothing else

when that happened with me, I also added in systemic immune support. I added my IAG powder (arabinogalactans) – 1 teaspoon 3 x per day, and in general, when I’m getting sick, I also add in high dose vitamin D3 (10,000IU) (which also has vitamin K2), high dose vitamin A (10,000 IU) and high dose zinc (45mg) per day for a few days. That’s usually all it takes for my body to fight off infections. You can find my immune support protocol and brands I like in this guide.
Also, have you confirmed with a doctor that it is in fact a UTI infection and not something else if that’s your only symptom?

So I did not feel better and ended up running some tests, turns out I have klebsiella pneumoniae so I’m on an antibiotic course now.Any tips on this type of bacteria? how can it be prevented? what can I take daily to boost my immune system?

here’s the definition from the GI Map interpretive guide inside the Gut Health Masterclass:
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a gram-negative bacteria in the Proteobacteria phylum. Common residents of the oral cavity and respiratory tract. May cause diarrhea, gas, abdominal pain, and bloating; Common after long-term antibiotic use; May release histamine in the gut; High levels
may indicate increased intestinal inflammatory activity.Are you prone to UTI infections? How is the health of your mouth? Any hidden root canal infections? Extractions done in the past?
Clients of mine have successfully eradicated overgrowths with Biotics FC-Cidal, grapefruit seed extract and oil of oregano. Also, caprylic acid and silvercillin.
But as you said, ultimately, your immune system should be able to keep these opportunistic species under control. Do you have any other symptoms so we can help you troubleshoot this and prevent recurrence?

So yes I am prone to UTI infections.
It’s the first time I get this type of bacteria though and so I do believe that strengthening my immunity system should help.No other symptoms but I do get sick/infected more than average so I think being on a daily plan/vitamins/ etc. that can strengthen my immunity system would be ideal

ok for starters, have you measured your immune nutrients vitamins A, D, and RBC zinc?
I would also check:
serum zinc, serum copper, ceruloplasminWe also need to figure out what is taxing your immune system. How is the health of your mouth? Any amalgam fillings or root canals done in the past? Any extractions? How are your stress levels? Thyroid function?
Have you done any lab tests in the past that we can look at for clues about immune health like a CBC with differentials?

Not recently, but I can definitely get ones done soon to solve this. Please let me know if theres anything I should measure other than the below

CBCAlso, never complained from mouth health however, stress levels have been high lately

stress will definitely suppress immune function since it’s a parasympathetic process. What are you doing to mitigate stress?
The above list is a good start. Make sure it’s CBC with differentials so we can see the breakdown of your white blood cells too. Tell your doctor that you tend to get sick easily, and they may want to add in additional markers like homocysteine, RBC B12 or a liver panel (to check methylation/detoxification).
Once you get the results, please post them and we’ll be able to guide you further.
Since you’re currently taking an antibiotic, ask your doctor about taking a beneficial yeast like S. boulardii which can help prevent yeast overgrowth as a result of the antibiotics wiping out all bacteria (good and bad). I usually recommend this one to clients, taken at a separate time away from the antibiotic.
