    Hi,
Reading back over all of the H-Pylori posts. Also, trying to go back and watch the section in the Gut Masterclass. But I seem to be having technical difficulties. So hoping you can give me a quick reminder. If H-Pylori is still present. Do you still support with betaine? Or wait until the H-pylori is radicated? The enzyme with betaine seems to help with the heartburn. I’m sorryI I have studied this and feel like I should know but don’t feel confident in the best protocol.
    Many thanks!

    Hi Jill,

It’s advised not to take Betaine HCL as H. Pylori can dig deep into the stomach lining and hide. It’s best to remove it.

I agree with  🙂 The reason is that an overgrowth of H. Pylori can lead to damage of the stomach lining and this could lead to ulcers when you are supplementing with betaine HCl.
