Hi guys – I always tend to buy imported chicken/meat from safe sources I can research (usually NZ or Aus).  I don’t feel good about this & would prefer to source locally for so many reasons.  Can you please help/guide on trusted places to buy chicken/red meat etc? I currently buy my fish from fish farm.  TIA

In Dubai, I can recommend the Al Dahra brand of chicken. I have personally visited their farm and although they are in a coop (no chickens in Dubai are pasture raised unless it’s for eggs and even then, they are fenced in), it is very spacious and the feed is organic. They sell their chicken in Carrefour (organic section).

As for red meat, it is all imported. iFarm private farm does provide grassfed A2 cow dairy products however like raw milk and yogurt, etc. But not meat.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your response and for the tip on chicken! I managed to find it .

Do you know if fishfarm.are salmon is available anywhere?  Ive checked carrefour, union and my local spinneys.  I reached out to the company but they said its available in all of the above mentioned stores ‍♀️

what about Daar Zood, which are part of AlRawdah? It states that they are free range, slow growth and no hormones or antibiotics, but then again alRawdah have chicken products that don’t state it’s organic so not sure. Also, alKhaznah? But it only states no added hormones.

I haven’t visited these farms (yet) so based on labels alone, I would go with Daar Zood given that it has the ESMA organic certification on the package. All the other labels are fluff marketing.
