my first response is: oh my goodness when is this viral video going to die. My next more professional response is:

Everything we eat has heavy metals in trace amounts. It’s inevitable in today’s polluted world. Just like the recent dark chocolate report saying that even organic cocoa was found to have high lead and cadmium, it boils down to bio-individuality and our ability to detoxify.

Instead of fearing health-promoting whole foods because they contain trace amounts of heavy metals, instead we need to be focusing on consuming a varied, nutrient-dense, whole foods diet and supporting our liver/gallbladder, kidneys (hydration), lungs (deep breathing/exercise), skin (sweating/exercise), and lymph (movement/exercise) which help our body expel unwanted toxins.

You might also be interested in this handout on therapeutic foods that support the liver/gallbladder.

Thank you for reassuring me that I can continue to use it and directing me to the handout.
