Hello B and the team ,,,

Sharing below the details of the recent blood work done at Health Bay Dubai , with Dr Sworoski
    Estradiol- 237,9
    Progesterone – 0.2 ( dropped from 10 in December to 0.2)
    FSH – 26.2
This report was done on match 10 ( last period was Jan 27 /2023)
    Age -48

Symptoms – missed periods , thus doctor has suggested Primalout for 7 days followed by Dhuphston from day 10 to 25 for next three months

History of fibroids ( 7com and few tiny ones ) they remain the same size since December ( also another doctor suggested removal of uterus , however I have signs of pain , excessive bleeding or discomfort)

Let me know your feedback and few things I could improve on in terms of supplements or dietary changes or even workout changes if required to regulate the progesterone n period cycle .

are you working with Dr. Skorski? I’m asking because she normally prescribes bio-identical hormone therapy from a compounding pharmacy.

During perimenopause, unfortunately it’s very difficult to increase progesterone naturally with food/supplements since the body is no longer ovulating every month. It is when we ovulate that a huge surge of progesterone is produced. Without ovulation, we don’t make that much, and end up estrogen dominant in the luteal phase (typically mid-cycle onwards). So bio-identical progesterone is often the best solution in perimenopause.

I would also encourage you to check your iodine status. Supplementing with iodine (when needed) has been shown to reverse fibroids (but it’s contraindicated with thyroid autoimmunity). Here’s a video in the Mineral Balance course on how to test iodine status, and another video on signs & symptoms of low iodine.

Insulin resistance/higher insulin can also contribute to fibroids so something to consider checking and working on if that’s at play. Here’s a video on testing blood sugar markers.

Thank you B for your response. Yes, I am working wit Dr. Skroski at Healthbay clinic in Dubai. She has not precribed any bio-identical hormone so far… i am not aware of any. Should i ask her about it ( let me know some information regarding it so i can be specific ) The only medication she has asked me to take is Duphaston from day 10 to day 25 of the cycle for the next three months. Is this medication a part of the bio identical hormone you mention.

I will check the course on iodine testing , however my thyroid levels are normal ( thyroid autoimmunity contradiction , what could this mean )
so if my levels of throid panel are normal can i start the iodine supplementation ?
Also my blood sugar markers tested in october were normal range however i will retest them again and check the video too.

Thank you for the support as always.

yes, ask her if the medication she’s prescribed for you is bio-identical. Usually if it is, the compounding pharmacy will make it for you and call you when it’s done to deliver it.

Iodine supplementation should not be taken if a person has thyroid antibodies (elevated anti-TPO, anti-TG markers). And testing is always preferred before supplementing to know if you should or shouldn’t supplement, and the dose and duration.

    Hello B ,
    1.  I will check with doctor regarding the medication being bio-identical ( however i know it was not prepared and it was purchased at the pharmacy ) so i think its not a bio-identical hormone. However i will check with her on that during my visit.
    2. Should i get my thyroid panel test along with antibodies done ? Also to add should i get the RBC idonie testing and insulin markers done and shared here ? ( this will allow us to see if supplementation is needed or not )
    3. I still see the link to the  mold questainaire but cant download it ? not sure why ?( it is not clickable )  However i have clicked on the link provided by you for mold mediator and tseting in UAE and have the details now.

    Thank you

when testing thyroid, a full thyroid panel is always recommended, which includes antibodies. Here’s the video on that.

You’re welcome to share your labs here but we can only provide general recommendations. Specific dosage and duration should be discussed with your doctor since they have your full health history.

If you can see the mold questionnaires, all you have to do is click on the link and it will automatically download. Are you using your phone or pc? Maybe it can only be downloaded on a computer? Please try and let us know.
