    Hi B. & Daniel,

Just received Thorne vitamin D/K2 from iherb.

It says to take 2 drops one to three times a day. dat

My reading is 29 ng/ml according to functional DX.

How much should I take and do I drop the drops under the tongue or mix it in water and then drink it.

    Thank you.

I would advise you to combine it with food. It wil be better absorbed since they are both fat-soluble vitamins. I never recommended my clients to divide the dosage over the day. You can take it all at once.

With levels of 29 mg/ml, I recommend my customers usually to start with 2000 IU (or 50 mcg) vitamin D daily for a few months and then measure their serum vitamin D. However…

Were you already taking vitamin D before your functional DX? If so, how much and how long? To get serum vitamin D concentration in the optimal zone, there are some personal differences as well.

For example, to keep my vitamin D levels in the optimal zone I personally need 4500 IU daily.

Here is a handout that I would recommend you to take a look at as well. It goes in depth on vitamin D and vitamin D supplementation.

Daniel, yes, I was taking Biotics Research ADEK. I think I was taking 5 drops, but I’m surprised it made no difference. Could it be due to being an emulsion, it didn’t work for me. I can’t remember how long I was taking it for.

I’m now without vitamin A ☺️ which I need for stomach healing. Am I right?

Oh, could I add the drop to the food?

Thank you for directing me to the handout which is very useful and downloaded.

     and

Seeking Health are out of Vitamin A liquid form. Apex do it which you mentioned is fine. I was about to order the latter, but they talk about Beta Carotene and Seeking Health version is retinol.
