Personal care
Posted by sara_alm369 on June 11, 2023 at 1:32 pmHello Dear, I have a confusing question.I have done a lot of tests for the sensitive area, and I have checked a lot.
I do not have any fungi or bacteria, and I always wear cotton, but I have internal itching with burn.
What do you think?
what are the causes that lead to heartburn and what is the treatment?

are you asking about heartburn or vaginal burning? Or both? Please clarify.
-
can you please share more details about that symptom.
-When did it start?
-Is it all the time? Or happens at specific times?
-Is it only burning or is it accompanied with other symptoms like itching, discharge, smell, dryness, etc?
-What have the doctors told you could be the reason if bacteria and fungus were ruled out?
-Have you tried any medication or natural remedies to relieve the burn? -
I don’t know when did it start but it’s been there on and off for a long time.
No burning sensation at all, just normal itching.
Swab are negative no bacteria nor fungal infection.
Discharge clear faded white color without smell.
Tried the vaginal steaming method and did help with other issues not the itching.
The smell of the skin around the area bothers me. So i use a specific deodorant for that thing only. -
I only wear 100% cotton underwear. Wash and dry the area really well no soaps using often.

oh you said there was burning. Ok, so no burning. The only symptoms are itchiness and smell?
1. Did the smell and itch happen at the same time? Or did the smell happen before the itch?
2. What is the deodorant you are using for the smell? Is it fragranced?
3. What laundry detergent do you use?
4. Do you notice if a certain type of activity worsens the itch? Or at different times of the month (for example, is it worse around period time)?
5. What type of menstrual products do you use please?
6. If you are sexually active, are any lubricants or condoms being used?
7. Are your bodysoaps scented? What brand do you use please? -
The smell is coming from the skin allover not from inside the vaginal, itchiness is worse during the period time and after the period for few days, rest of the month normal and manageable. And i only use organic pads as well!

please answer the questions I posted in my reply above one by one so that I can try to help you figure out what may be the cause. I edited my post to include numbers.
-
1- There is a smell that occurred before itching
2- Deodorant does not contain perfumes and is intended for sensitive areas.
3- I use a natural cleaner from ECO VER.
4- In hot times before and after period time.
5- I use Real pads.
6- Condoms.
7- I use Jo malon and cathy doll. -
thank you for answering. I’m going to ask a few more questions if you don’t mind, since the smell happened before the itch. I’m suspicious that the itch is related to the products you’re using, which I’ll touch on next, but first I want to focus on the smell since that was the initial symptom.
1. Can you try to describe the smell? What would you say it smells like?
2. Do you know when the smell started? How long has it been?
3. Is the smell always present or only at certain times?
4. Can you pinpoint when the itch started? Was it around the same time you started using the deodorant? I’m asking because it contains baking soda as an ingredient which can be irritating to some people’s skin. Now regarding the itch, let’s try to switch your products out to rule out a sensitivity to one of the ingredients in your products that you’re using:
1. Try to stop using the deodorant for about a week or two to see if the itch lessens.
2. Ecover, while it is a lower toxic brand compared to conventional laundry detergent, it does still contain some questionable ingredients. I have recently switched to Rooted Regimen and LOVE them!! It’s replaced all of the cleaning products in my home including dish liquid and laundry detergent. It’s a local company, and fully non-toxic! B Better members get an exclusive discount code: BBETTER20 for 20% off! Try making this switch to see if it helps the itch as well.3. Condoms. What brand do you use? Here’s an article sharing some of the possible ingredients in condoms. In this study review, parabens were reported to cause contact dermatitis reactions in some individuals on cutaneous exposure.
Here are 3 brands of non-toxic condoms to consider trying instead:
Option 1: Glyde-ultra
Option 2: Lovability
Option 3: GroveYou’ll need to hand-carry these into the UAE as the mail forwarding companies won’t ship them into the country. It’s one of the “banned” items unfortunately.
4. Unfortunatley Joe Malone uses many toxic ingredients. I’m not sure which one you are using exactly, but here are the ingredients in their English Pear & Freezia body and hand wash:
Ingredients: WaterAquaEau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauramidopropyl Betaine, Peg-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Fragrance (Parfum), Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Ceteth-20, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Caffeine, Sucrose, Polysorbate 20, Pentylene Glycol, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Polyquaternium-7, Hexylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Magnesium Nitrate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol
The items in bold are toxic and/or irritants. I tried to look for Cathy Doll’s ingredients and couldn’t find any on their website, which is a huge red flag.
I would advise switching to a much lesser toxic body wash. I personally like to use an olive oil soap bar (like the old days), and have found it to work wonders for my skin and that of my clients! Here’s the brand I buy on Amazon.
I would start with these changes first, and if the itching does not stop, please report back and we’ll continue digging deeper to help you figure out the root cause.

I will make changes. The deodorant does not contain any baking soda. The description of the smell is more like damp but the place is just dry and that bothers me. Is there a solution like putting powder?? The smell is always there and itching always gets worse before and after the period.
-
A doctor advised me to take probiotics. For the balance of bacteria in the vagina, what do you think and what is the appropriate type for that?
-
Hi ! I had almost same issue/symptoms few years ago. In my case it was a combination of all chemicals: non organic pads, non cotton underwear, soap and condoms.
I changed all and it worked -
I searched the one you posted in the picture: https://www.kushae.com/collections/all-products/products/natural-feminine-deodorant-spray
Is that the one? If so, when you click on ingredient list, you’ll see it lists baking soda as an ingredient.
