New to the UAE, would love to know where we can get CGM in Abu Dhabi.
Same for getting some functional labs done. My daughter will be visiting for the summer so it will be self paid. Thank you!

Hi – welcome to the UAE!
There are a few different options. Is it to monitor diabetes or are you simply looking for one that tracks glucose for preventative/lifestyle reasons?
The reason I ask is because the sensitivity of the sensors really varies between the different devices on the market.
Someone who needs to monitor their blood glucose very precisely for diabetes, I would recommend the Dexcom brand. They are available in pharmacies.
If someone wants to track their glucose to optimize their metabolic health by understanding how certain foods and exercise affects their health, then I’d go with Ultrahuman. We have a discount code for members: (code BBETTER10 for 10% discount)
In terms of functional labs in the UAE, we can also assist with giving members access. Just email support@bernadetteabraham.com and let them know which tests you’re interested in pursuing, along with her full name, date of birth, email address, shipping/billing address (if different). You’ll then get sent an email directly from the lab with instructions to pay for the kit(s). They mail out the kits within 2-3 business days.
If you need any blood testing, we teamed up with Valeo Health who are competitively priced, easy to book, and send a nurse to your house, if you wish to pay out of pocket. Members also receive a discount on their packages.

here are some recommendations which you can request from the support team:
• GI map plus zonulin (comprehensive stool test). Click here to view the sample report.

• As for micronutrient testing, I have a meeting tomorrow with a new functional lab that offers the Spectracell Micronutrient test. I will let you know if this is available in Abu Dhabi after our meeting. In the meantime, I can suggest either Genova’s NutrEval (very comprehensive, but also very expensive) or an Organic Acids test which does test some nutritional markers (see p.4) but also fungal/microbial markers, detoxification and metabolic function.For blood testing, depending on your insurance coverage, you might be able to get a full thyroid panel through a physician. Otherwise, you can get that through Valeo Health for affordable, at-home service. B Better members get a discount as well.

Spectracell micronutrient test is available, but it’s a very sensitive test that needs to be shipped same day so you’d have to drive to Dubai to perform that test. Not sure if you’re still interested in that test. The rest of the tests I suggested all ship to Abu Dhabi. Just let the support team know what you’d like to get done – they’re aware you’ll be reaching out.
