I’m SOO sorry to hear that. I know how scary that is. My father had to have a sudden open heart surgery several years ago.
May I know his age and a bit about his diet and lifestyle habits? Does he have any other comorbidities? Does he take any medications?
I find the most difficult part in these types of situations is trying to get our family members, especially the elderly, to change their dietary and lifestyle habits. But if they are willing to make changes, that’s a different story and we can absolutely help.
In terms of preparing him for surgery, how much time does he have? Under Protocols, we have a “Preparing for Surgery – Pre & Post Op Recommendations” that you can take a look at.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and hoping for a successful surgery and recovery. Please do keep us posted.

Hey ,
What awful news..! I’m really sorry to hear this. I wish you, your father and your family strength and luck!
Let us know how things went!

Thank God, yesterday the operation was successful, and now I am planning how to arrange a protocol for him to recover.
Thank you for your interest. I pray to God for good health for everyone.
My father is sixty years old and does not like a specific diet. I will try to convince him to go on a diet. What is the appropriate diet for cholesterol patients? Does he stay away from meat and fats?
He has some healthy habits, such as running for an hour every day. His health condition was that he suffered from esophageal reflux disease. He performed surgery before placing a ring on top of the stomach.
He takes medications for cholesterol and stomach acidity, and a month ago he took a course of stem cell therapy for a week. To strengthen immunity. I hope this is good for his health and helps him recover quickly.

that’s a relief and great news to hear! Happy for your family. He’s lucky to have you by his side caring for his post-operative needs.
This Symptom Dictionary handout provides root cause reasons and initial dietary guidelines for high cholesterol. It’s important to address why his cholesterol is elevated and usually blood sugar dysregulation, low thyroid function, and high stress are the usual culprits. Addressing those would bring down cholesterol to optimal levels without the need for statins which are known to deplete CoQ10 and lead to mitochondrial dysfunction.
Also read the possible root cause reasons for acid reflux in this Symptom Dictionary handout. Usually not having enough stomach acid is what causes reflux (even though it sounds backwards) so looking to address why his body isn’t producing sufficient acid would help him eliminate the need for antacids. Read the handout and let me know if you have any questions about how to figure out the root cause reasons. I would prioritize this symptom since we need good strong stomach acid to absorb key vitamins and minerals, to trigger the release of enzymes, to act like a “cleansing tank” against pathogens, and to breakdown and absorb our proteins which are needed for so many enzymatic functions, muscle building, neurotransmitters for mood, sleep, hormones, etc.
If you’d like to learn more about the importance of stomach acid, I’d highly encourage you read the book called “Why Stomach Acid is Good for You”.

Hey @,
I know we are just a few days further, but I was wondering how things are with your father! How is he doing?
-
Thank you for your interest. After the operation, he opened the heart. He suffered from the effects of anesthesia, and now he has blood infections. I hope that after tests and treatment, he will recover.

,
I hope he will get better soon. Do you know if his vitamin D levels were measured as well? Most people are on the low end, especially older people since they aren’t able to make vitamin D as efficient on the skin.
A simple supplement can help a lot.
I know other nutrients (like zinc, B vitamins and vitamin A) are helpful to create white blood cells as well. If your dad is open to this type of advice, we could give you more tips.
Vitamin D is easy and cheap and it can make an impact if his levels are low.
I know Bernadette shared the link to this handout earlier, but I will share it again. This handout: “Preparing for Surgery – Pre & Post Op Recommendations” has quite a few tips you could use to help him recover.
If you like more tips, let us know how his condition develops!

I will order it to strengthen his immunity. Thank you for your continued support in promoting health and increasing knowledge.

Hi B & Daniel,
Possible your suggestions,
After the anesthesia wore off, my father could not eat anything, and every time he tried to vomit, even after taking vomiting medications from a doctor. Is there a way to increase stomach acid and its ability to accept food?
It’s been a week and he hasn’t accepted anything.
is this normal!!

after my mom’s surgery, she was also experiencing vomiting from the anesthesia. I gave her a homeopathic remedy and it worked incredibly well and quickly too! Something to consider if conventional meds aren’t helping…
I’m going to share some possible remedies for vomiting taken from the book “Schuessler Tissue Salts” which was recommended by our guest expert Dr. Manjari.
• Vomiting after meals, also with acidic fluid: ferr. phos 12x
• Vomiting of bile (yellow, bitter and thick fluid): nat. sulph 6x
• Vomiting of thick, transparent mucus: nat. murr 6x
• Vomiting of white mucus: kali. mur 6x
• Vomiting of acidic fluid: nat. phos 6xThese Schuessler tissue salts are all available at Life pharmacies in Dubai or on Amazon outside of the UAE.

Will the medicines arrive to me intact via international shipping from the website (Fullscript)?
Is there a website that ships faster? -
what will you be ordering? If probiotics, you’ll need to make sure they don’t require refrigeration. Most other supplements are ok to be shipped internationally.
If you need access to supplements faster, you can try iHerb. However they don’t have the high quality selection like Fullscript does.
In terms of mail forwarding companies, Boxit4Me has a 3-5 business day delivery option, but it’s obviously pricier.

I will order this probiotics I read on one of the sites that it does not need refrigeration, what do you think?
