Baby Formula
Posted by cayodialysis on September 21, 2023 at 8:52 pmHi B & Team
Kindly inform on what type of milk to give to a 5 months old baby.
My daughter baby is 5 months old and I have discussed with my daughter of cow milk and it’s effect.
Thanks for your input.unknown replied 1 year, 1 month ago 3 Members · 5 Replies -

Hi – while breast milk is the best option for an infant, sometimes circumstances call for a substitute. In these cases, a woman can seek out milk from another lactating woman. Donation centers do exist in North America – just search “breast milk donation bank near me” and see what comes up in your search.
If that’s not an option, the next best would be organic goat milk due to its smaller protein size which makes it more digestible. I personally used to the brand Holle when I needed to supplement.
Another option is to try to make your own goat milk baby formula. Here’s a great website that shares how (and sells it too).
Hope this helps.

Hi B and Team
Very helpful information.
Shall rely same with my daughter. -
Thank you for the posts. Would you recommend the same for a 1 year old? I understand by now they can consume cow milk- shall I give organic cow milk instead of for example hallo ?

there’s really no need to switch to cow milk if they are doing fine on goat milk. But if they’ve never had cow milk and you’d like to introduce it, you can follow the same strategy as any food trial introduction and monitor for any symptoms.

thanks! My son has been on Hipp ( I missed the good goat milk advice!) now he is 11 months. Shall I pass him to formula goat? Or shall I do normal cow milk still? Any preferences or advice ?
