  • replying in short messages between kid chaos. I know that I will not be able to donate blood. I have never been successful at it and am starting a full time job in 2 days so cannot donate as it leaves me weak for days. What other methods should I talk to my doctor about to get my iron levels down? I have an appointment with her Sept 19th.

I will also be doing energetic laser detox treatment as soon as I can get into my practitioner. I believe she can help with heavy metals. (Is iron considered a heavy metal?)

  • thank you for all this.

I have controlled asthma, and chronic Lyme disease. Could Lyme be causing elevated eosinophils?

I have been on AIP diet to help with Lyme. It was the single biggest thing that helped me. I was feeling the best I have in years after 6 months on AIP, then I got covid and haven’t quite rebounded. I am now eating paleo (not strict on AIP now).
Since I don’t eat many nuts, no seeds, no legumes, minimal grains (occasional white rice) after listening to the video about high iron, I am wondering if added these back into my diet could help block iron absorption? Or perhaps just taking a calcium supplement at each meal?

I do have supplements, beef liver pills including, but actually have not taken them for 5 months because I got behind on things. So I don’t really have any supplements to cut out.
I do think I am probably low in B6. What is your recommendation for a good b6 supplement?

[Image] Thanks for the tip about using rubber bands to track my h20 consumption.  I had at least 120 oz of water (72 oz plain water, and 48 oz using Liquid IV electrolytes my husband had)  I also had 24 oz of black tea.  This is a typical day for me.  I weigh 125lbs, so it looks like I am drinking more than recommended.  I will continue to make some of my water bottles have electrolytes now.  I don’t have a crazy thirst, I just like to drink cold water.  Do you think I should cut back on how much I drink, or try to find a balance of 50/50 water/electrolytes?  What ratio.  I have noticed less lightheadedness when drinking the electrolyte mix.

is black tea (English breakfast) or green tea another good option? What electrolyte benefits, if any, does tea offer? I love tea so it would be an easy add.

Thank you for these links.  I am starting a new job where I must stand on concrete most of the day.  (I am going to be the playground staff at my son’s elementary school).  I purchased some Dansko tennis shoes & a pair of Hoka’s with a lot of cushion.  Now I am interested to know the barefoot recommendation on standing on such surfaces for long hours.  Thanks.

I’m going to order some of the brands you recommended or try making sole. Then I believe I should do the DUTCH plus test soon. Thank you for sharing the links.

thank you very much for this. My PC doctor is very good about ordering any blood lab work I want. I usually work with a naturopath then tell my PC what tests. I haven’t been to my NP in a year.

What bloodwork would you suggest that Western Medicine usually does? What is the test called to check my RBC?

She usually calls in a CBC and TSH, T4, T3. They only do the one time cortisol. So I will look into the DUTCH test Bernadette mentioned.

If you have bloodwork recommendations I’ll call and ask then get those done in the next month or so.

This community is such a resource. Thank you. I will watch some of the other video links you sent.

Wanted to update, the lightheaded happens when I stand up too quickly. My blood pressure has always been on the lower side my whole life. Average 110/70

& Thank you so much for this.  Sounds like possibly using mixture of sprays.  I will get into the habit of using this each time we go out for a hike in our backyard hills.  We will keep the spray by our door, do tick checks, and create an awareness.

I do have symptoms.  The typical fibromyalgia pain, joint pain and low energy.  I did AIP protocol VERY strictly January 2022-June 2022 and felt the best I have in years.  Worked on my healthy gut and felt amazing until I got covid in June 2022.  Haven’t been able to rebound back to the pre-covid level of health, but this is to be expected.  I will read below on Bernadette’s vitamin recommendations and continue to work to keep my gut healthy.  Trying to prioritize sleep in crucial, but my 5 year old doesn’t understand, so I do the best I can!  Ha.  I am so happy I found B Better to get help and support.
I also have all the herbs to do Dr. Rawls Lyme protocol, but had severe herx reactions when I started it in December 2022.

Bernadette, I’ll read all this more and might have more questions on the vitamins.  Currently home with a sick kiddo.  Yes, prevention and keeping my immunity is key.  Thank you so much for this.
Cistus tea sounds very promising.  Thank you.  I believe Klinghart has a good sense on Lyme.  I see a practicioner trained by him every 2-3 weeks or as needed for a laser detox therapy.  She works on Lyme, 5G, methylation, and whatever else she finds.  She has been a great asset to my Lyme team.  I have a Naturopathic doctor, my Primary Care doctor who will order any labs I need that can be covered by insurance, chiropractor, Dr. Rawls assistant I do coaching sessions with, and follow Dr. Sarah Ballantyne for her AIP, Paleo & nutrivore information.  I took her 6 week lecture series for AIP.  It was amazing in understanding gut health.
I’m currently trying to reassess all my supplements, and vitamins to see how they work together.  Now I know I can come to this group to get help with that.
I am also working to switch over my household to all non-toxic everything, cleaners, shampoos, lotions, water filter, etc.  If you have any resources in this group I should watch/read for that please let me know.  I am so happy to have found this group!
