Will my kids rebel if they’re NOT given sweets?
What did Dr. Hamden say that made me do ‘this’ during the interview?
Watch the video below!
I recently posted a comment on Facebook that got alot of attention.
It was regarding children NOT allowed having sweets or soda at home and whether or not that would cause them to rebel and want it even more.
The responses were mixed and ranged from “everything in moderation” to having a strict “no junk allowed” rule at home.

So I decided to contact Dr. Raymond Hamden, a brilliant clinical and forensic psychologist from the Human Relations Institute in Dubai, to get his professional opinion on this matter.
Luckily for all of us, he was so cool about it and agreed to my video interview request! (I jumped from excitement when I received his email because I am one of his biggest fans!)
Children are brought into this world without guide books or instruction manuals and as a parent, you only want to give them the best of everything.
But often we doubt ourselves and our ways of parenting.
I believe however that being open about our worries and fears, and talking to them with other people will only make us better parents.
Hopefully this short interview is a helpful start.
